Have you been to the garage to get petrol or diesel for your car?

Every car, lorry, bus train, plane and ship uses some sort of fuel. Petrol and diesel are usually used.

When the fuel is burnt (used) it produces CO2

The more transport that is on the road, more pollution is being created. It can also lead to traffic problems.

We need to have ways of traveling from one place to another, but it is possible to cut down on the use of our cars.

If you are not going on a long journey, walk or take a pedaling bike to save using the car.

If you are taking a longer journey, use a bus or train if there are any available. These carry many people and can avoid the need to use your car.

What about sharing a lift with someone that is going to the same place as you e.g. to school or swimming?

Sometimes it is impossible to avoid using the car. Consider every other option first.
